I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend. How are you doing?

I am friends with one of the few remaining Tuskegee Airmen, and I know that his time is short. Watching him fade in this time of isolation is very hard.

5. I met him when he was a contracting officer at McGuire AFB

He worked as a GS-12 until he was 85. He did 21+ in the Air force and 44 years as a government employee and when I knew him he was 81 years old & still walked too fast for me to easily keep up with him.

I wish I could have called him a friend, but he was only an aquaintence.

Tougher than wire rope wrapped in boiled leather...
