All the vaccine sign-up places require an email address, which he doesn't have, but we used one I can check for him. He's 87 and should easily qualify, but he's in Louisiana, and things are muddled there.

the CDC criterion is 65 years of age. Locally this is not being followed by VA clinics, they are using 75 years of age.

Yet, if I call the VA medical center located far away from me, they said they can offer an appointment if I'm over 65?

One (with standard freezers) gets about 400 doses a week.
The other (with super-cold freezers) gets about 3000 doses a week.
It's worth calling around to any VA hospital within your tolerable driving distance.
