He really is a dancer, I'm always amazed at how long dancers live and remain flexible. Thinking of Dick Van Dyke

God yes, dancing is the best, uses the entire body. Van Dyke is unbelievable, so healthy and a former smoker and drinker.

My doc on my wellness exam asked me if I could get up easily from the floor

I am 76, haven't been able to do that since I broke my right kneecap when I was 49.

So I got all the way down on my but and rose up without using my hands. She said wow.. I am 75..

(16,498 posts)11. After I do my 3 miles in the morning after 18 hour fast, I try to get in 20 pushups after I have my hard boiled egg.
As I am moving from the last push up, I keep moving the upper part of my body until I am curled up and my chin can touch both kneecaps. I hold that for about 30 seconds and then I can just get up without using my hands. Before I started doing that it was hell for me to get up off the floor.
