Anyone else looking for a part time job?

I'm constantly on the prowl for some kind of work even though I have SS and a pension I feel very insecure, financially, and 'am always thinking about how to make some money.

I check Craig's List daily for jobs in my area (don't drive) but nothing seems right for a senior even though I'm a daily runner and pretty spry if I do say so myself it just seems that the ones listed are geared to younger folk. I've lost some confidence in my intellectual abilities being retired so long.

when I think it would be nice to have a job again, and then there are those days when I get up not feeling
particularly on top of the world, and am glad I don't have to go to work. I only have a very small SS check
each month, but I have learned to adapt. It hasn't been easy though. I was used to buying just about
whatever I wanted............now.........just the essentials.. I don't miss that alarm clock though!!
I worked until I was 70........figured that was long enough! I do understand your feelings.

I also think that it could be nice to have a job, and then when I see the traffic reports on TV in the morning, I am glad I do not have to drive to work. Yes, I only have SS every month, but I am learning to budget. I started collecting SS while I was still working and could pretty much buy what I wanted. And I sure do not miss the alarm clock. I also worked until I was 70. I was laid off my job in 2010. If I hadn't been laid off, I would still be working because I liked that paycheck.

I work as a Security Officer. I walk about 2 1/2-3 miles a day. I work evening hours and work weekends. I am still to participate in some senior groups. It is a good job for the retired with ss and pension. It pays minimal wages but it gets me out in the public.
