Related: About this forumDriving at night
On a recent issue of AARP magazine there was a letter suggesting to dim the dash lights while driving at night.
When the dash is bright, he said, it contract the driver's pupils and allow less light in, which decreases the night vision.
I don't drive at night - so far did not have to - but if I will, I will try this.

Suppose to increase contrast at nite.. As we age we loose our contrast resolution. Things we can see during the day are difficult to see at nite...

My cataracts made everything seem dimmer and yellow. Vision improvement after surgery was dramatic.
