having awful time with taste buds/tongue, NOTHING tastes good, haven't had a decent cup of coffee for weeks.

P.S. Lost my taste for pickled stuff after first pregnancy, 35 years ago!!!

Mt. Olive makes a good dill pickle and hamburger dills. I like Claussen for a good, crisp, cold kosher dill.

But, I see those pickles just like butterscotch candy. Everyone hates them when they're young. Once they reach a certain age (around 60), they love them. It's weird. I'm expecting the same for myself. I hate both now, but I'm sure in about 20 years I'll be buying them up like crazy.

Tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwich, bread-and-butter pickles.

If that doesn't work, horseradish will clear things up. (the Polish nuclear option)

My grandmother made them and they were wonderful. But I have no idea how many decades it's been since I last ate one.
