Increasing your lifespan and going broke. A quandary:

NPR had a segment on 'reservatrol' (?)
It'the stuff in grape skins that is supposed to be really good for you, fights and prevents diseases, etc., and now scientists say it may extend life expectancy.
A lot.

Here's the quandary
I'm 71. I've planned my life and retirement so that (hopefully) I won't run out of money before I die.
But what if i had the choice to extend my life by 10 or 20 or even 30 years?
I sure haven't planned for that financially.
It's too late to start over now.
It's a puzzlement.

5. We've probably all made some regretable decisions over a lifetime, but

the thing that screwed us the most as we entered retirement was the financial meltdown. That was done "to" us, not "by" us, and will impact how the rest of our lives will be managed.

Just gotta go with the flow, now.

6. Same age, same quandary.

Living on SS now is hard enough, imagine what it would be like in the years to come?
No extra $$ now, let alone $$ for 10 years from now.
Who would have guessed?
