Day before yesterday: I wake up after a deep sleep, look at the clock and it is 8:08. Wow, I think, I must have really been tired! I keep my morning handful of meds by the bed, so since it was later than the usual time, I took them right away. I saw daylight through the blinds. After a minute or two, I am thinking that something doesn't feel right. Damn straight. I figure out that it is evening, not morning, and I just took a handful of high blood pressure meds 9 hours too soon.
Today my kids came over for lunch and I was going to make mac & cheese in the instant pot for the first time. It only cooks 3 minutes, and when the timer went off, I released the steam, opened the lid, and VOILA! It was a pot of water. I forgot the pasta.
Things like this happen more frequently these days. Do you think it's time for a "test?" Not sure I can count backwards by 7 from 100, but I'm not sure I could do that 10 years ago.
Oh Age, you are indeed a shit.

(28,361 posts)Pretty much sequested. My daily routine is quite different than it was, say, 4 months ago. I guess you adapt. I'm spending a lot of times outdoors, delimbing and cutting trees (firewood!) around the house. Putting a new roof on soon and other projects will follow.
Hang in there!

(6,891 posts)short-term memory, inability to focus, problems completing tasks. I wake up not knowing what day it is, can't get myself moving. Between the Dump administration, issues with protests in urban communities, world events and disasters, and the pandemic, we are extremely stressed. It's affecting millions, and the desire to get our lives back makes life even moreso.
