(30,156 posts)ago and I thought the same thing. We have to replace the roof because of hail damage. Fortunately it was an insurance deal.

(2,661 posts)Weve been sprucing it up. New flooring, rain guttering, new kitchen, new double glazed windows, etc. Other than paint, I keep thinking its the last time we redecorate. Im 65, husband 72. We are trying to get it finished while we can still do the work ourselves. Its close to complete.

(10,115 posts)It has a fifty year, parts and labor, warranty. At 66, I expect this to be my last roof barring weather issues.

He said "You ought to get about twenty years out of it".
Ah, marketing.
