"Sweet old ladies and sweet old men"

Why do people think that once you turn 70, and are a grandmother (great grandmother) all of a sudden you don't curse, or shout someone down, or get banned for being outspoken and a little nasty on a message board?

It's endearing and naive, and even a little annoying. As Barack Obama said famously about Hillary Clinton, "She's (I'm) nice enough." But as a grandmother soon to be turning 73, I am NOT a sweet little old lady. Please. It's condescending at the least. I'm pretty much the same as I always was, except physically.

Thanks for listening!

I know all the words and how to use them. We oldsters know where all the bodies are buried and why.
