...as in "voted for him in 2016 but won't this time around," and how much it has to do with many of the older seniors who backed him in 2016 not being around for this election, and many seniors now being in a younger demographic four years ago?

Of course, considering that Trump's largest support seems to be coming predominantly from younger boomers and gen Xers, maybe one can't ascribe it to that alone.
