(4,632 posts)have one of those 7 day with morning & night containers pill boxes,,,, it's a pita to load it once a week but it is so worth it. I put both prescription meds and vitamin supplements in it
fwiw: When I would talk about getting old, my ol Momma used to say, "It's all downhill from here, Karen, it's all downhill"

(5,196 posts)Problem is- when you take the same pills every morning and night for years, it becomes so routine you sometimes do not even pay attention to what is going into your mouth.
3 morning pills, 5 at night, one other, plus several supplements that aren't in boxes.
In early Feb. I had to pay $471 for one prescription of 60 pills, which is frequently advertised on TV. That satisfied my annual prescription deductible. Just got a renewal prescription - only $42. I take one each morning and one each night.

(34,189 posts)But no longer have any daily prescriptions - I do have recommended things to take so I make up five weeks at a time so I don't have to drag the pill bottles out on a regular basis.
Too often I forget to take them, though. Mornings don't work since far too often the doorbell wakes me up and I have to deal with stuff before breakfast. So I take them at night - but if I get too tired, I forget. It does make it easier to remember, and to see if I've forgotten any.
