Related: About this forumI just emailed Matrix Medical Network about their constant phone calls
My call blocker stops them all but they are coming every day so I sent them a message letting them know the futility of their efforts. AND that I do not want to schedule a visit. Which I've previously told them so having to tell them, again, is aggravating. Don't get me wrong - I know there are values is such visits for some people. I'm just not one of them. The fewer outsiders meddling in my personal business, the better.
I would have just called them but I KNEW I'd be facing an onslaught of instructions about which number to push, and none of them would fit the situation.
Fingers crossed, this will end the calls. Probably won't. but still.....

(27,285 posts)If it is a human being calling, it's my understanding they hear a 4 digit code that they are instructed to enter, and then the call goes through. Robo calls, like these, still ring through once before getting dumped, so they are just annoying. They don't even register on my caller id. If I don't see them flash, for a few seconds on the TV screen, I don't even know they came in unless I check my on-line call log.
So I figure these calls will never end unless someone steps in.

(27,285 posts)Even legitimate business have to honor your request to be removed from their call list. I never specifically said that the first time they called and, somehow, the call got through. I just said I didn't want an assessment. My message to them, today, was pretty specific. I also asked for a confirmation they have honored my request, but to email it to me.
So, I'll give it a day, or two.

(27,285 posts)They are contracted through my advantage plan. I was confused, at first, because the phone number says it's from the plan and has a local area code so I called to as them to remove me from the list but realized the not answered by my health plan, but by Matrix, in Arizona and it was a multiple button choice system, so I hung up.
Now I'm wondering if this is the same place that called me at about 10:15, one night, wanting to conduct some sort of assessment. I filed a complaint with my plan and they got RIGHT back with me, full of apologies.
Plus I've read that there have been complaints about the services offered by Matrix - that the people conducting the home assessments try to pressure people into things. That would be a big mistake, with me.

(8,203 posts)On the postcard it says I will be getting a call..I have so much mail from bcbs I could wallpaper my whole house...btw..that 10:15 pm phone call..I got one from banner wanting me to set up a visit because bcbs told them to call me..NOT!!!
I was called by bcbs one time, and they insisted it is a requirement of Medicare I schedule that or this ..I actually got into it with them...when challenged "requirement of Medicare" they backed right down..since then, don't call me, I will call you..
Now, my husband is going through procedures for prostate cancer..been almost 2 years since his last radiation treatment..DR. visit Wed. every three months check PSA..bcbs has been very good for him (us)..I have NO complaints about that...
Wishing you good health..

(27,285 posts)I'm still hefting 40lb bags of water softener salt from the shelf to the cart to the car to the basement to the barrel. And 40lb bags of bird seed with slightly fewer steps. I trim and cut down smaller trees and take care of a MASSIVE front lawn and back lot. Rototill and plant gardens, all by myself. I'm painting the walls in my house, too. So, unless they want to pick up a paint brush, saw, rake or shovel, or mow the lawns for me, their visit will be of no real benefit, to me.
And I know the house snooping is the real reason for the visit. I'm currently in the process of redecorating and updating my house. By year's end it will be a whole different place. Hopefully.

(8,203 posts)paints houses..feeds the birds too..and keeps up with the landscaping..of course, with a little help from his friend..the house he just finished, (2 weeks) required much cutting at high levels..5 different colors..I was with him the whole time..SAFETY FIRST..we did our home interior couple years ago..and I just love it.. the exterior is next..but summer is coming on..so most jobs are interior..I don't know where he gets his energy..puts me to shame..those 5 gal. buckets of paint are so heavy...the last house 34 gal. of paint..
Now, about that 40lb bag of water softener..

(27,285 posts)The record holder is my grandmother's niece, who died last year at 104 years old. And she WAS feisty, right to the end.
My brother and nephew are eager to help me with things I can't, or am afraid to tackle on my own. Unfortunately they are both down with injuries, right now. However, if they come by, next weekend I'll have some 'sit down' stuff they can do while I run the roto tiller. BTW, it's the same roto tiller I dropped on my head, a few years back. We've now come to an understanding. No more fancy moves by me - no more head injuries caused by RT.

(27,285 posts)I just wanted to try and handle it directly with them. And maybe to tip them off that mine isn't the only phone with that service.
