Angela Davis: Voters “have one river to cross next month,” and that’s stopping Donald Trump.

Angela Davis may not be enamored with Republicans nor Democrats, but at the end of the day, she's not gonna walk around feeling self righteous by voting third party or not voting.....while depending on everybody else to do the right thing; voting Clinton.

She says there may be the need for a new party that is anti-racist, etc...but that isn't going to happen before election day, so She's voting for Hillary!

There are many young Black folks who are saying that they are simply not going to vote. I think if Angela Davis can vote for Hillary....they should seriously consider it!

She lives in my neck of the woods! I've said hello to her a few times, as she can be found around Lake Merritt now and then!

She had more militant views back then, but years of her struggles and her teaching she is quite pragmatic. To do what is necessary to fight another day, so to speak

She just understands that blowing it up doesn't guarantee how it will be put back together again.

It's good food for thought. Of course it goes without saying I agree with you. Hope you enjoy a good week. Hopefully soon we'll be celebrating democratic victories.

I just want the real problems that we face (and BTW, we have always faced) and the anger that comes with them, not to be the only thing that folks ponder on. Solutions are what we need, and blowing it all up isn't necessarily the panacea that some believe it to be, because it isn't, nor has it ever been.

It would be great to believe that there are easy solutions, in this fast food nation…
But there aren't. The best answer to these crazy times, it's to show this nation and the world That we reject what Trump and his Republicans are proposing. Anything short of that will be disastrous for far too many, including these young activists!

So true Frenchie. I keep hearing that sentiment tossed around but there are other options to fix this broken system without going all the way left and electing trump/disaster.

I think people mean well with the idea of pandemonium but I just don't agree in practice.
