Minnesota Businessman Is 'Very, Very Sorry' For Hanging Up Black Piatas In A Way Resembling A Lynch

Victor Chavarria may have initially thought his display of piñatas was harmless advertising for his business, but he was in for quite the rude awakening.

According to CNN, the owner of Happy Kids Piñatas has apologized after receiving complaints for hanging piñatas of black people on his front porch. On Friday, a passerby took a photo of the piñata display on Chavarria's front porch and the picture immediately went viral.

The way the piñatas were displayed resembled a lynching, which certainly didn't look good for Chavarria, despite his intentions. .....


addition to his apology, Chavarria admitted he realized just how bad the display looked out of context.

"Out of context, I admit the images look disturbing," he said. "Out of context everything can be horrible."

Anyway, it was a plain as day photo of two black male figures hanging by their necks, swinging from this guy's front porch.

That guy can kiss my ass. I hope his business revenue goes down over this.

ETA: now the guy says it was for a custom wedding party and he was drying them on his front porch.

It shows a black guy in a light suit and red tie and a black bride in a wedding dress. It's captioned that they were made for "a wedding". It doesn't say these are the actual ones in question.

I'm going to myself The pinatas guy is whitewashing (haha) this to CNN about what he had on his porch.
