I am extremely happy at this push back to ameriKKKan racism by people with money and a conscience.

1. It is SAD that one's Patriotism has become a Political Issue.

That respect for the Flag and Anthem MUST be demanded, despite the injustices that take place on a daily basis towards Americans, is indeed worthy of conversation.

The taking a knee by African American NFL players to bring light to police brutality and unfairness IS being PATRIOTIC!!! That they love this country so much, are aware of sacrifices others made for that Freedom to protest, are not to be dismissed otherwise, or treated like garbage.

I as a woman, can protest too. My right to control my own body, to vote, to challenge my government without reprisal when it is being abusive, etc., shall not be abridged. Nor shall that respect be demanded of me just because I live in this country. I may or may not choose do it at a sporting event, but I will do it none the less where applicable.

When the NFL players are taking a knee, I take a knee with them for the issues important to them.

2. It is "SAD"

I just don't know this country anymore. I thought that we as americans have finally crawled out that swamp of racism with the election of President Barack Obama. The long way from slavery and Jim Crow apartheid(aparthate). I was wrong again. White ameriKKKa just got angrier. How do I know? I just have to go out and experience ameriKKKa in this trump era. I just have to see another article on the death of an unarmed AA, men, women and CHILDREN at the hands of racist, cowardly men and women who neither protect nor serve AA.

I feel white people are really running amok with their newly enabled privilege and entitlement from Herr trump and the rest of his racist and deluded(carson) administration that means white only, no Negroes allowed.
