today, the execution of Robert Kennedy occurred during the runup to the 1968 presidential election. The RW coup of ameriKKKa started, for me, on Nov. 22, 1963 with the assassination of his brother and was still going strong with the execution of Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968. Dr.King had just started speaking out against the Vietnam War and had millions of americans coalescing around his messages of peace, hope, anti-racism. He was in Memphis to help Memphis AA garbage workers striking over dangerous working conditions for Memphis garbage workers which was prompted by the crushing deaths of 2 AA garbage workers. The strike was also prompted by poor pay for AA workers vs white garbage workers which was why he was on that balcony at the Lorraine Motel.

Just 7 days later the1968 Civil Rights Act outlawing racial discrimination was passed. Still outlawed and the joke is on the AA predominantly and brown skinned people generally 50 years later under the wypipo's fuhrer..

Malcolm X's murder in 1965 when he had started speaking out against the Vietnam War, because of the large KIA numbers of AA soldiers in Vietnam was part of this orgy of assassinations by the RW in those days represented by corporate and military people in the Military, Industrial Complex.

Ironically, a republican, President Eisenhower, had spoken out on the dangers the MIC posed for american citizens and our society/democracy. He was/is 100% correct.
