Related: About this forum[JOB] Sr. Digital Strategist, Midwest Race Class Narrative Project (Remote) $6,667-8,333/month
Hi, I'm helping the Midwest Race Class Narrative Project find a Senior Digital Strategist to help labor unions, faith groups and community-organizing groups in some of the top battleground states leverage digital campaigns to fight dog-whistle racism, engage voters and defeat Trump.
This is a FT, in-house role that can be done remotely from anywhere in the US. The salary for this role is $6,667 to $8,333 per month until the end of November, and the role comes with benefits including health insurance and two months of severance pay.
This role would be a good fit for a creative, nimble and adaptive digital strategist with deep experience using social media, digital advertising, and other digital tools in an organizational context to engage people and mobilize them to take action.
In addition, the high degree of autonomy of this role means we're looking for someone who is both a team player and an accountable self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
Application are being considered on a rolling basis, with an ideal start date no later than June 1, so I recommend you to apply ASAP if you're interested.
Please feel free to reach out if you're interested or have any questions. You can see the full job description (including the application instructions) below my signature line.

ABOUT THE MIDWEST RCN PROJECT
Economic and racial justice are both core progressive priorities. Far too often, progressive campaigns discuss them as if they were separate. But we know theyre intertwined.
Our opponents promote racial fears to turn out white voters, pitting working people against each other and against good government. Meanwhile, economic pain fuels racial resentment and facilitates scapegoating, including attacks on African-Americans, immigrants and Muslims.
In 2016, we saw this play out to disastrous effect in the post-industrial Midwestern states that delivered the presidential election to Donald Trump.
We simply cannot allow this to happen again in November. And the Race-Class Narrative shows a way for us to succeed.
The Race-Class Narrative is a narrative framework and strategic approach born out of empirical research showing that progressives win when we focus on the connections between racial and economic justice.
Minnesotas highly successful Greater than Fear campaign -- which brought labor unions, faith groups and community-based organizations together in 2018 -- used the Race-Class Narrative to take on dog-whistle politics, elect progressive leaders to office, and create a strong mandate for progressive policy change.
Building off of that success, the Midwest RCN project is an initiviate housed in Faith in Minnesota in partnership with ASO Communications to help state-based progressive organizations in six states -- including some of the top presidential battleground states -- use the Race-Class Narrative to win elections and build power in 2020 and beyond.
The six states were focused on are Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Wisconsin.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a creative and nimble digital strategist with the drive and expertise to help grassroots progressive organizations run effective digital campaigns? Are you a team player and accountable self-starter with a high degree of initiative? Are you excited about the prospect of using the Race-Class Narrative to build cross-racial solidarity, engage voters and defeat Trump? If so, please read on!
