with no recompense or prosecution of white rioters and killers. Rosewood, Fla., Springfield, Ill are just a couple in the early 20th cen. A term was even coined called Springfielding because several black communities were destroyed afterwards following Springfield's example.

Much black wealth was just destroyed and no one was ever made whole/paid back. No wonder after hundreds of years of enslavement and "stolen labor", and then all the race riots and jim crow, black families have one tenth of the wealth of white families who quite often inherited wealth, even if just modest amounts, from parents and relatives. Often times it was substantial amounts.

With centuries of enslavement and unpaid, dawn-to-dusk labor, then jim crow and share cropping and all the rest...well, I'll just say, with the principle of compounding where wealth doubles every seven years, if all the hundreds of years of unpaid labor was paid back, with compounding, the US treasury would be busted. Much is owed. And then there is the continued killing of black people in the present day.
