I DID IT! - I sold 200 Copies of Afro-Bougie Blues.
Just wanted to take a moment to thank every one of you who supported me, bought a book, reviewed the book, or just checked out this post.
It really meant a lot to me.
Over in The DU Lounge, someone encouraged me to make "An Elevator Pitch" for the book. I have written several book descriptions, and had them written for me, but I wanted to come up with something fresh. Here it is:

Afro-Bougie Blues: A Collection of Short Fiction
The stories are original, engaging and occasionally edgy. It's not something you read to your children - adults have sex, it's in the Bible. The stories will touch you, as you watch each character experience a moment of tragedy, a challenge, a trouble, that makes them pause and reevaluate life, make choices, and a conscious decision to come out on the other side. That's some of the stories. But some are funny. Some are warm-hearted. All are memorable.
The situations are real. An abortion. Alcoholism. An affair. A parent dying. Struggling with obesity. Dealing with a pre-teen. Even getting back into the dating scene. The situations transcend race and class. The characters are African-American but the situations are universal.
When you read these short stories, you will find yourself connecting, and rooting for these people, or perhaps hating them, but either way, experiencing real emotions over situations that you may have never known first hand, but you know are real.
Read Afro-Bougie Blues, and come away touched by humanity.
