My Nana Rita had this song on 45 many, many years ago. I was always a little obsessed with it, but could never find the music for it. So I have reconstructed the song from just listening to it over and over again. I think I have the words right, but there is no real way to be sure since I don't speak Spanish

Popular with Chicanos in Los Angeles in the 60's and 70's.

Here are the lyrics

Believe me when I say how much I love you
Believe me when I say how much I care
Forgive me, give me peace of mind
All I need is time to prove my love for you

You did great on a lovely song. I can see why you and your nana love it.
