Hadn't posted here yet, so "Hi", and I've got a quick question

There's been an effort made in the last couple of years to get people to use the term "Latinx"-pronounced "Lateen-x"-as a gender-neutral substitute for the words "Latina" and "Latino".

Where do folks in this group here on DU think of that? Is it a term you are using?

I have not seen that term before.

And it strikes me as a bit dumb. Nothing wrong with Latina or Latino.
