"Carry The One" by Carol Anshaw

A small (250 pp.) novel about a group of friends and families and the effects of their being involved in a tragic car accident. Lots of highly flawed, well-crafted characters for whom you develop a fondness as they develop (or regress) over the years. Beautiful, lyrical ending. Will make a first-rate movie, if the right people are involved. Highly recommended.......
