I've been reading it to my wife in chapters, and we're nearly done. It is one of the more thought provoking, important books I've read in a long time. It really highlights how so many people are living utterly separated from nature, from our world.

(3,678 posts)It was on my "to read" list for quite a while, but I finally got around to it earlier this year. Her approach is pretty gentle, but the book is partly a critique of the U.S. and capitalism (and a rather pointed one, at that), which I wasn't expecting when I picked it up.
