The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons really makes me question this eating healthy & exercise thing.

1. Heehee. Absolutely. Remember the rumor that Keith had his blood entirely changed by transfusions?

Out with the old, in with the new. Maybe that had something to do with it?

4. Telomeres get shorter as we age. So a lot of wealthy people change out for younger blood.

3. I suspect there's a range of life expectancy in one's genes

and one cantyake actions which send one closer to the top, or closer to the bottom, of that range, but not move much, if at all, beyond it (always excepting Darwin Award candidates). I also suspect that one never completely overcomes many stupid things one does in one's youth IIRC Simmons was very unfit before he got fit himself James Fixx, though, I don't remeber that of him.

He died really young also and a runner also.

Some of that was hereditary I think their parents died even younger.
