Walmart impersonator caught on camera taking TVs, pinatas from store

Albuquerque Crime Stoppers needs the public's help finding a man who impersonated a Walmart employee to steal electronics.

They said the suspect was seen Nov. 24 walking into the Walmart at Eubank Boulevard and Chico Road and taking a six-wheeler cart from an employee area. He then loaded it with two television sets and two piñatas. He then proceeded to walk out of the store without paying for anything. In all, the items totaled more than $1,000.

It's not clear how long it took workers to realize what happened, but according to a police report, it wasn't reported to police until the day after it happened.

Anyone who knows the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 505-843-STOP (7867).
