True Crime
Related: About this forumI just finished FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW. It's about the
disappearance and murder of 7 year old Maria Ridulph in 1957 in Sycamore, IL.
Neighbor John Tessier was a suspect at the time, but seemed to have an alibi.
Not until this century would he go to trial for her murder.
The book is by Charles Lachman and was published in 2014.

(12,232 posts)too, but I'll buy and read the book before I watch it.
I sent the book info to my friend Poe Ballantine, who wrote Love and Terror on the Howling Plains of Nowhere, his memoir about an unsolved homicide in our town. He's never been much for true crime books, but lately he's begun to inch over to the dark side, and a 55 year-old cold case might really pique his interest.

(31,488 posts)I lived not far from there, and I was nine years old. Many children were terrified by a murder so nearby.
I will have to find the book. Thanks for mentioning it.
