Cooper Rush filled in for Dak Prescott to lead the Dallas Cowboys to their sixth consecutive win Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
The surprising 20-16 win included a clutch, go-ahead, 5-yard touchdown pass from Rush to Amari Cooper, who made the catch in the back of the end zone with less than a minute remaining. According to NFL Research, its the first time a quarterbacks first name has been the exact match of a receivers last name on a touchdown pass.
The Cowboys (6-1) are now sitting in the pole position with the other top teams in the NFC, including the Cardinals (7-1), Packers (7-1), Rams (7-1) for the top seed in the playoffs.
The Cowboys host the Denver Broncos (4-4) at noon at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.
