Charles Barkley's advice on reining in Warriors' Draymond Green: 'Clock him one time'

Charles Barkley on a Zoom call, fielding Draymond Green questions? That’s like a wide-open layup.

Barkley spoke to reporters Wednesday to promote next month’s American Century Championship, the annual celebrity golf tournament near Lake Tahoe. At one point, Barkley was asked how he would have responded to Green’s animated chatter if they played against each other in a game.

“You just have to clock him one time, with a good shot,” Barkley said. “Draymond reminds me of Dennis Rodman. Anytime I’d play against Rodman, I’d hit him as hard as I could early in the game, and he would stop all of those antics. I’d do the same thing against Draymond.”

physical violence? It's obvious you've never played basketball before. It's a physical game and you can't let anyone run over/intimidate you or it'll keep happening and you will lose everytime.

He said "hit him as hard as I could". Barkley is a huge person. If he hit ME or YOU as hard as he could, we would not be getting up off the ground.
That is extreme. Parse it how you want.
And, btw, you have NO idea what I have and haven't done.

understand that. Apparently those who've never played competitive sports don't know the physical dynamics of the game. It's not pitty pat.

using force but you have no criticism of what he did. Players respond to bullying to put an end ot it.

It's not your area of expertise.

' . . . why Green could essentiallly play Twister on top of Jaylen Brow's head, shove him in the back, tug on his shorts, then start talkin smack - and STILL not get called for a technical foul. . .
See, Green already had one tech. . . . Green probably knew he could get away with trying to bully the Celtics well after he received his first technical in the first quarter. . . '

[Would the refs 2nd tech eject a star player in this series? Guess not]

lost his effectiveness since their championship years. He scored two points tonight, three assists and four rebounds. Plus he fouled out. He's not contributing much to the team anymore. He used to have double doubles or triple doubles regularly.

And as far as '90s era basketball, if he was lucky enough to make a roster with those poor numbers, he'd be a bench player who only got into the game during garbage time. IMO he's hurting the Warriors as they're getting hardly any point production from their fifth man on the court.

After flagrant fouls and suspensions got introduced nba playoffs stopped looking like hockey games on wood.

Green is in tech foul trouble. It’s self correcting.
