Oh boy. There could be a big controversy tomorrow about who gets into the CFP. Texas beat UA 34 to 24 on Sept. 9th. The committee can't pick Bama over UT. Either both get in - or neither does.
I hope that Codoleezza Rice isn't still on the committee. Maybe has she been too busy giving expert advise to Israel on how to ignore direct threats from terrorists.

(8,348 posts)For the CFP to not have a SEC team (strongest conference in America) not in the playoffs mean they are not picking the best teams.
I personally wish they could face Texas again.

I think that Georgia will make it anyway.

(5,044 posts)Ok, they can, but they shouldn't. If I were on the committee, I'd choose Texas. But, who knows what they'll think, or what shenanigans may occur in the late games. Despite it being too large for my liking, at least a 12-team field next year will make the choices easier.

(4,641 posts)If they don't, the CFP should be picking the 4 undefeated teams (Georgia, Michigan, Washington, Florida St) otherwise there will be a controversy.

FSU is stinking the place up right now. Offense is non-existent.
Condi is in Augusta teeing it up.

(5,768 posts)But they play in a weaker conference. They never have, in my opinion, looked like a final four team all season.
It would also be an injustice to not include Georgia in the final four. Georgia deserves to be there, but so do the four you mentioned.
It'll be interesting to see what the committee comes up with. The toughest choice they've had to make in quite some time.
