(7,371 posts)Bypassed for the playoff in favor of Alabama!

(186,672 posts)but they are undefeated and the ACC champs. Its just weird to not have any SEC team in the playoff. Oh well Bama lost to Texas so I couldnt see Bama getting that spot.
GoodRaisin
(9,588 posts)probably was. Their defense won the game, they went through their season undefeated. The committee should have allowed them to keep playing. Bad call.
If they defeat Georgia in their bowl game there will be a cloud on who are the real national champions. Again.

(556 posts)Its musical chairs. When the music stopped, FSU was left standing.
Twelve teams next year. The argument wont stop, but they will be discussing less relevant teams.

(5,768 posts)I never thought they should be included in the top four.
Docreed2003
(17,808 posts)They were unwatchable last night. I'm not surprised they were left off of the top four, but I am surprised the committee had the guts to make that call

(186,672 posts)I dont think Ive seen them play this year.
Their D must be good. But when I saw the he 16-6 scored I cringed a bit.

(1,574 posts)TV pays the way and no one wants to watch FSU play and get smoked by Michigan. It was a business decision.

(186,672 posts)Plus - a CFP with no SEC?

GoodRaisin
(9,588 posts)So, knowingly leaving out a legitimate contender for more money is what you think the committee did?
No one wants to see if the undefeated team wins it all? Gotta say I dont agree.

(679 posts)Just as they have done for 19 straight games!!!!
Not sure if any of the other 4 teams could win with their third string qback!

(679 posts)The committee excluded an undefeated Power 5 conference champion for the first time since the advent of the BCS/CFP era that began 25 years ago.
Why? Because TV AD execs have their noses up Saban's a$$! Football team talent is now to be forever more decided by TV ratings. FSU is the first dominoe to fall.
Next year, it could be YOUR team!
I'm sure the committee sought out the advice of Samuel Alito when it comes to stare decisis!
