Gold/Bronze For US In Men's 1,500!

First time in 112 years that 2 Americans medaled in the same 1,500.
Hocker wins the gold with an Olympic record time! Naguse got the bronze.

Cole Hocker with the biggest upset win of the Olympic.

After watching Cole in the semi I thought he had a good shot at a medal. He wasn’t straining to run with Ingebrigtsen and Kerr.

Ingebrigtsen had a terrible strategy of trying to lead the entire race.

They commented twice that there was no pace setter & it was a risky stratefy.

...of nearly a mile was incredible. There have been runners with great finishing kicks before. Obviously, he's in the club.

I missed how easily Hocker passed Herr the first time. He just blew everyone's doors off in the last 40 meters or so.
I knew he was faster than everyone at that point, but how easily he caught & passed Herr, I missed.

which is incredible. Nuguse set a personal best (7 of the first 9 did, including Dutch and Italian records). Ingebrigtsen ran as a marvellous pace setter for everyone else.
