Where do people find the time to do this? Obviously, he's not spending as much time on the internet as me.

This awesome little home built car is currently being bid up on Bring A Trailer. Finished in the style of the early VW and Porsche race cars, It has a Beck chassis and a modded 356 engine mounted amidships with the body skillfully hand hammered over a wire form. It weighs about 1100 lbs with 130hp, so do the math.

On 2nd thought, forget how fast it'll go, I wonder how high it will go?

I've watched most of JL's Garage, but never saw that episode. I understand Runge has been hand building sports cars for years. This one, 007, must be a later model. I doubt they often come up for sale. Thanx for adding the vid.

I see 007 has side vents to help with cabin ventilation on the coupe version.

5. I meant the vent doors on the front fenders.

I have one on my old Triumph at the cowl where the ducting leads to the heater box and forces fresh air through the heater. With the hot water valve pulled off it ventilates the cabin with cool air, something this enclosed car probably benefits from. Especially with the engine right behind the seat. Chassis 004 likely didn't suffer so.

6. Reading comprehension is not my strong suit nowadays :)

I nearly bought a TVR Griffith back in the late sixties. Ended up with a more practical Saab 61. What a fun car.

7. I almost bought a Griffin instead of my Triumph

My history of owning Triumphs and the poor condition of the TVR resulted in the better choice for a retirement car. Still, I'd like to at least drive a TVR for a while with that Buick (Rover) V8 under the hood.

There are no bad Saabs, so I think you probably made the right decision as well.
