Mitsubishi Dando Drive House concept can power your home.
Well, not quite, but the idea of the Dando House system is that you buy the Hybrid SUV and a large battery for your house with solar panels on the roof. The link is a bi-directional charger in the garage.
The Mitsubishi employs regenerative charging, so slowing or applying the brakes tops off the cell. As I understand it, if you arrive home with a depleted cell, plugging into the home battery will deliver a fresh charge by morning. If your daily commute allowed for a full charge at the end of the day, you can transfer that energy back into the house. Mitsubishi plans to deliver these to Japan as soon as this year. Hopefully, Trump will be long gone before they're imported here.
Actually, with a regenerative system the battery could always be topped off by adjusting how much power is delivered to the cell. Under full regeneration the brakes would not even be used, as the motor would slow the car without them. Driving would amount to braking more and more by taking your foot increasingly from the accelerator. The electronic parking brake would hold the car at a stop light. Driving away would then add a recharge.

For all it's goodness at reducing wasted energy, it looks kind of homely here in this setting at the local ski lodge, but if you imagine what it would look like at the local Walmart, I think it's downright repulsive.
