Related: About this forumHelp needed. I have a vehicle's VIN, and I need to get its title number.
It's my vehicle. During a recent unwanted house cleaning, the title has been disappeared. The vehicle is titled in Virginia. Virginia wants to send me to a commercial site that wants a fee for the service.
Is there a freebie site anyone here can recommed? Thanks.

(18,118 posts)i setup the account a while ago using my drivers license number and DOB. It has been a while so I don't recall any hoops I had to jump through to set it up.

(60,969 posts)I've got the bike's VIN. I was thinking I'd have to have the last four or six digits of the bike's VIN (no problem) and last four digits of the bike's title (big problem) to pull up the registration renewal.
I think I have an account like that at the DMV. All my login information is at work. I haven't been to work for a while. I might have to wait until tomorrow to make this happen. I'll try now anyway.
Thanks.

It turns out I had signed up a while back. I had to provide new information, in that I had to come up with a password and answers for the challenge questions.
All it shows me is information for vehicles that are currently registered. It does not show me information for vehicles that used to be registered but are not registered now. I think I have to call them. I'll see if I can navigate around the site some more.
I'm looking for registration history. I might have to do that during normal office hours.
Thanks.

(8,823 posts)I lost my license, had to call to set up a DMV account. It took days as they were not answering g the phone. They wont let you set up an online account with out talking to them first.
