I get to see a number of EVs charging on the street that I live on.

I was wondering why they can't design a retractable cable for these cars.
There shoudl be room to a retracting reel so owners don't have to drag out a cable every time they need to plug in.
If you exclusively charge at home a cable could be there ready.

Probably because these cables are really thick and would be very hard to wind up.
