Attention baseball fans. The game is all the rage with kids in BHUTAN...

of all place, a Himilayan mountainous country. There's hope for the game yet.

The world's most remote country, Bhutan, is experiencing a baseball boom

What started as a handful of kids playing on a concrete slab has grown to more than 6,000 children who are becoming dedicated baseball fans

In Ken Burns' Baseball, in I believe in the Fifth Inning, one fella mentions that baseball can be played in a pasture, on a NY street, on a playground, on a hill, and he goes on.
These kids in Bhutan seem to be proving his opinion to be correct!

Francis Joseph "Lefty" O'Doul was an American Major League Baseball player who went on to become an extraordinarily successful manager in the minor leagues. He was also a vital figure in both the pre-war establishment and post-war revival of professional baseball in Japan.
