Will they have the mandatory "7th inning stretch" singing of "God Bless America" AGAIN this year?

Look, I understand how it got started(the congresscritters sang it after the plane hit the Pentagon) but 9/11 was fourteen years ago, we're out of Iraq and Osama is dead.

Will MLB ever stop beating this dead horse?

Or at least "Talking 'bout A Revolution" by Tracy Chapman.

The idea of a guerilla soundman/woman flipping to something like that is a great thing to consider.

Wonder what the reaction in the stands would be. Some exploding heads, for sure!

I must admit, it's a bit irritating.

(granted, she'd change most of the lyrics to "brains...brains...brains..." but still...)

...that, in the last few games of spring, playing the recording of Kate Smith, with everybody trying to look their most patriotic, seems out of place.

Nope, lest someone question their patriotism. Never mind that baseball, mom, and apple pie are stalwarts of good old American "patriotism" - we all have to be lockstep uber-christians to be patriotic, don'tchaknow.
