ESPN’s 30 for 30 Finally Reveals the Troubling True Story Behind Angels in the Outfield

video at the source!

As Angels in the Outfield fans might remember, the California Angels had it rough at the start of the 1994 season: “They had a catcher who could barely run, they had a pair of outfielders who constantly collided with each other, and their star pitcher Whitt Bass, I don’t think he could even read,” recalls one reporter. But the team managed to somehow, miraculously, pull it together.

In this note-perfect College Humor video, an episode of ESPN’s documentary series 30 for 30 explores this breakthrough—and whether the amazing turnaround was a true case of divine intervention, or a classic case of steroid use.
