Only MLB player to hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw in his ML debut

Kevin Kouzmanoff, Sept. 6, 2006, Cleveland Indians vs. Texas Rangers

Kouzmanoff was the first player to hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw as a big leaguer. His GS came against a young Edinson Volquez in the first inning, helping carry the Tribe to a 6-5 win. It was one of three grand slams Kouzmanoff hit in his career.

Didn't know that.

Did you know there have only been TWO Joe Smith's who've made it to the majors? One is a pitcher for the Astros right now.

I do know of the one with the Astros now, since he’s a former Indian. 🙂
