(34,546 posts)My Dad played semi pro ball and my grandmother was a huge Indians fan. I guess both of them rubbed off on me some. But everyone in my family were big Indians fans (many who have passed on, unfortunately).
Do you get anything besides soccer on TV down there?

(29,771 posts)But there were both college and nfl football. Oh yes the Works series. The good bowl games.
However....Sometimes they are in Spanish. And you take what you can get. So if your football (American) team is on Thursday or Monday or Thursday nights youll probably see them. On Sunday it could be any games. No rhyme or reason. Any could be in Spanish. Or switch to Spanish in the middle.
One big game (Mr Lake would know if he was here) they had the post locker room phase and the couch was yelling You effin did it. I effin believed in you guys and you effin did it its effin unbelievable you effers
It was soooo funny and Im sure US was not in on it.
i remember hearing about that ... wow, so no censorship on your local stations?!
When we go to our nearest Mexican restaurant they will have sporting events on the TVs in Spanish sometimes. My high school Spanish is woefully inadequate in helping me to understand them but I think its kind of fun to listen to the broadcast in Spanish.
