Fascinating baseball history

The 1922 World Series was between the NY Giants and NY Yankees. Prior to the series beginning the Giants agreed to play a benefit game against the the Baltimore Orioles, then the most powerful minor league team in the country.

As preparation for the WS Ruth decided to play with Giants, his WS opponents.

What did he do? Hit a HR off of future HOFer Lefty Grove.

that ran a special series about the "Top 100 Baseball Players" by Joe Posnanski. Great stuff about SO many players, and, of course, "The Babe" was right there in the top. And yes, Lefty Grove was in there too.
