New York Mets outfielder Tim Tebow retiring from pro baseball17 Feb 2002
Tim Tebow is retiring from baseball after five years as a minor leaguer with the New York Mets.
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner returned to baseball in 2016 for the first time since his junior year of high school and reached Triple-A, encouraged by then-general manager and current team president Sandy Alderson.
Tebow, who works for ESPN's SEC Network as a football analyst during the offseason, played 77 games at baseball's highest minor league level in 2019, batting .163 with four home runs. He finishes his career with a .223 average over 287 games.
"I want to thank the Mets, Alderson, the fans and all my teammates for the chance to be a part of such a great organization," Tebow said in a statement released by the Mets on Wednesday. "I loved every minute of the journey, but at this time I feel called in other directions.

(32,977 posts)the price for the MLB package with Direct TV. But overall, it's worth it.
MontanaMama
(24,020 posts)I buy the package for $130 a season and can stream it on my phone, iPad, laptop and on the tv via a Roku stick. You probably know about it already but I thought Id mention it. Its a bargain!

(32,977 posts)the streaming possibilities out there since Direct TV is getting too expensive. Our challenge is to find an viable and economical streaming service for some specific international channels.

(24,020 posts)I had Dish and then Direct...they were insanely expensive. I went with Sling tv via Roku...and now I have Hulu through the Roku. I like Sling a little better but my kiddo and his dad like Hulu better so here we are. I dont know what international channels youre looking for...the Roku has a gazillion apps/channels so maybe youll find what you want there but there are other streaming sticks out there too. I hope you can save a little money.
