When he was with the Expos, he grew out his beard - unheard of in those days! - until the team put him in the starting pitcher rotation. One of the local papers published an awesome photo of him sitting in the dugout with a huge butterfly perched on the edge of his beard. It was cool.

If Bill bonded with his glove. Oiled it, relaced the lacing, talked to it.....maybe added a little extra padding over time. But it is probably the same glove over his pro-career...it was part of his hand. Could be wrong, though,
