Worley, Pirates hand Giants 5th consecutive loss

With their fifth straight loss, a 5-0 sleeper against Pittsburgh at AT&T Park on Monday night, the Giants fell two games behind the Dodgers in the NL West.

That margin represents San Francisco's largest deficit in the division this season.

The way things are going, it's hard to think two games will remain the largest deficit.

The Giants have scored a total of five runs in these five losses. On Monday, Sacramento native Vance Worley - who was in Triple-A early last month - limited the Giants to three singles and a Hunter Pence triple in his first career shutout and second complete game.

His other complete game also was against the Giants, a three-hitter while he was with the Phillies, July 26, 2011.
