We were at Candlestick Park the day the Giants beat the Cubs for the NL Pennant.

Nice honor for Clark but IMO his San Francisco numbers don't warrant it.

(24,790 posts)2. FWIW, I've been a Giants fan since I was a kid
and lived in the SF Bay Area when Clark played there. Although I didn't follow baseball much at that time in my life, the word I always heard was that aside from his playing, he was known for being quite an asshole in the clubhouse. Don't know if it's true, but I heard it a lot. Actaully heard about many of the players not getting along that well back then.
