Only one player in history had at least one stolen base in 4 different decades.
Only hint: it is not someone known for base stealing.

Because I looked this long ago it’s Ted Williams. But I think there others like Tim Raines and some others. Google would tell.

In 1939, took a few years off in the 40’s and then dominated in the 50’s. He played in 1960 and had, I believe, 2 steals. Also hit a home run in his final at bat.
He only had 24 for his career, but spread them
over more than 20 years and in four decades.

(And you were right, three other players including Raines, also did it; I thought Williams was the only one.)

I assume he played both left and right in addition to pitching. What was the 4th? First base?
