(1,766 posts)Especially teams that have had long playoff droughts. The party in San Francisco's locker room after they clinched the NL West on the last day of the 2010 season was I-N-S-A-N-E.
Why begrudge long-suffering teams their joy? They've had so little of it for too long.

(31,798 posts)Cleveland whiffed on a lot of pitches outside of the strike zone that they would have taken during the regular season. I expect Francona will have a lot of sliders and curves thrown at batting practice, because that's all they'll see in the Bronx.
Season record vs the Yankees:
1 win, 5 losses.
Yankees outscored Cleveland 38 runs to 14. Guardians' lone victory was a 2-0 shutout.
