Daughter wanted to go to gift shops.

Then I got tickets for next home game at Wrigley where they honored him for his no-hitter.

Homer (yeah, that’s a good name for a pitcher) Bailey and the Reds beat the Pirates.

Another one that I’ve only seen on tv is Busch Stadium. Beautiful view of the city and the Arch.

So Pirates can enjoy that view across the river of downtown. We get to walk to games from here on the Northside which was part of the draw to moving here. Now if they could get that cheap bastard Nutting to buy some talent instead of playing farm team to half the league it would be a good deal.

When did Randy Johnson have a perfect game?
May 18, 2004
On May 18, 2004, at 40 years old, he threw Major League Baseball's 17th perfect game, and remains the oldest pitcher to accomplish this feat. Johnson ultimately retired at the age of 46, and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015, his first year of eligibility.

It was last year, Detroit at Seattle. We had electronic tickets, but their system crashed and we couldn't download the app. So they issued us paper tickets and now we have souvenirs, along with our scorecard.

Randi Johnson pitching for the Mariners against the Oakland A's. I remember the game vividly, but have NO clue what year.

but there was a scoreless tie (0–0) through nine innings, and the Twins' starting pitcher, Jack Morris, pitched a complete 10-inning game which they won 1-0. Pretty fun!

maybe the greatest defensive heads-up I ever saw.

I say that as Cardinals fan.

I'm not bitter, though.

Knoblauch pretended to throw to Gagne, but he didn't actually have the ball, so Smith was faked out into staying on 3rd.

16. I was at Phil Niekro's no-hitter.

It was Sunday, August 5, 1973, in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. The Braves blanked the Padres 9-0. I was there. It was a huge thrill, witnessing a no-no in person. It was Phil Niekro's only career no-hitter.

I have been using that date for my Missouri state lotto numbers for 30+ years: 1 for the first day of the week, 3 for the 3 in 1973, 5 for the fifth day of the month, 7 for the 7 in 1973, 8 for the eighth month, and 19 for the 19 in 1973. 1-3-5-7-8-19. I know those numbers will hit some day. It might be tonight, it might be next week, it might be 100 years from now, but eventually they'll hit.

My dad, my cousin and I saw the Milt Pappas game at Wrigley. Very early my third year of HS. (Around Labor Day?)
Yet, all anybody remembers was Froemming's blown call on 3-2 count with 2 outs in the 9th.
Next hitter made an out, so no-hitter in tact, but everybody there felt they should have seen a perfecto.
Edited To Add: that was the Cubs 2nd no hitter at Wrigley that year! Then there wasn't another one for around 35 years.
