Cards beat the Dodgers 16 - 8
I watched 9 total homers - 7 Cardinal dingers and 2 Dodger shots, including a Freddie Freeman Grand Slam.
I saw a double steal of 2nd and HOME. Never saw that happen ever, at least in person. I can't recall ever seeing it on TV either.
As much as we sucked wind in April, this team looks like a Juggernaut lately. in the last 4 series they've beaten good teams handily.
Cardinals Devil Magic - It's coming back

The Polack MSgt
(13,425 posts)I don't think he is sharp handling the bullpen. Last year's playoff debacle is just the most glaring example...
But he finds ways to mix and match his hitters in situations that could give them an edge, and the team hasn't quit on him.
What the fanbase thinks doesn't matter tho -He's Mozeliak's boy - he'll be given time to improve.
Unlike the manager who oversaw the longest winning streak in Cards History - Which got them into the playoffs after being 9 games out in late August
I'm still bitter that Mike Schildt got shit on like that

I think he's walking a fine line. While Mozeliak is willing to be more patient with him, if the pressure from the players and the fans grows strong enough, I wouldn't be surprised to see Marmol shown the door.
And how about that Miles Mikolas? Just awful in April but absolutely tremendous in May. Will be interesting to see what June brings. Maybe something in between. That seems more likely.
